Raised from Gascoyne’s Scarlet x Cox’s Orange Pippin by N F Barnes, Head Gardener to the Duke of Westminster at Eaton Hall, Chester, UK in 1902.
Large, round-conical fruit. Bright red flush over a greenish yellow skin. Attractive exhibition variety.
White flesh cooking to a well flavoured lemon coloured puree. Moderately vigorous, spreading tree with attractive blossom.
