Very good variety, heavy cropper producing medium sized fruit that has a velvety texture, firm flesh and excellent flavour. This fully hardy variety will tolerate heavy wet soils and cold weather. Foliage turns a fiery orange in Autumn. Eventual height and spread: 1.5m (5ft). Cropping season: late August. Self fertile, but cross pollination will encourage a greater yield.
Plant 1.5m (5ft) apart in rows 2m (6ft) apart.
Plant in an open sunny spot in a moist acid, but well-drained soil. Can also be successfully grown in pots with ericaceous compost.
