Raised at Buxted Park, Sussex by H.C. Princep and introduced by Pyne, Topsham, Devon. First recorded in 1902. It received an Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1902 as Edward’s Coronation. Fruits have soft, flesh with a sweet, aromatic flavour.
