Mid-late season variety with a tall, erect growth habit. A favourite with home gardeners with its high yield of sweet, small-medium sized fruit. Jersey is one of the most dependable varieties available producing consistently high yields of fruit. The fruit hangs in loose clusters for easy picking. The glossy green leaves turn bright yellow in autumn. An old-time favourite variety, late ripening, ideal for extending the season. Eventual height: 1.8m (6ft). Eventual spread: 1.5m (5ft). Plant in an open sunny spot in a moist acid, but well-drained soil. Can also be sucessfully grown in pots with ericaceous compost.
